Resume

The task was to create a exciting resume with the addition of our logo. I incorperated different colors from the logo and used the background of a beach and palm tree to show something appealing yet something that I enjoy. My original plan was to make the picture the background fading into all of the text but make it dark starting in the corner then use the gradient tool to make it fade into white. I enjoyed creating a new resume because its something new, fun and professional. Also, I love my logo and I can show it off.

Process poster

The task was to create a poster that would display our work from our room project in steps. Everything that is seen on the poster is process work from the 2D and 3D models and such. I really enjoyed putting it together because it helped visualize how I would set up my larger posters for my final room project. Also, I learned how to use the gradient tool in photoshop with a lot of colors. The back ground of the poster is my favorite part because its bright and shows who my artist is.

Logo

My logo inspiration comes from a wave crashing into the beach with other beach colors added. The skills that I learned when making the logo was using the Wacom tablets, how to change font colors and the use of proportion. By making this logo I had to learn what would be appropriate and professional for others to view. Also, it's something I can use for when I design and want to leave my logo for people to see and know who designed the space. Designing the logo makes me feel like I learned something new about design and myself and was a overall good experience.

Sketches

These are a few of my first sketches. They are nature objects and house plants drawn in pencil. I view these sketches as preliminary ones because I feel like I could have added shading, the shadow and more detail. The sketches are a work in progress.

Quilt Pattern

This pattern is formed from my heritage. I had trouble creating the look at first but after rotating and messing with the order I found the final product. This pattern helped improve my skills by learning different key parts to photoshop and indesign. This contributed to my overall growth.

Concept Statement:
Linn is a European mix of heritages. The most common known today are British, Irish, English and many others. In this case exactly where Linn originates. The different heritages are shown by symbolic meanings for an example, Irish is universally recognized as clovers and leprechauns. As well as Britain identifying themselves with their flag and the English with floral, flowers and beauty. This is exactly what came to my mind when I thought European. You certainly learn to accept your heritage once you know where you came from, your ancestors and your associations with others heritages.

Textile Pattern

The inspiration from each of these patterns comes from "beach themed" photos. Some pictures include sunsets, water, flowers and hula girls. The overall pattern is laid out by color and coordinates from one to another placed evenly. I really like this pattern because of the colors and different swirls in the patterns. This is more of my beginning work and hasn't improved my skills. It does show that my skills have grown by using different colors and placement.
